What Is Your Most Adorable Dog Breed?

Your decision about what qualities you think a dog breed should have is up to you as an individual. You can adopt a variety of breeds, and even mixes, depending on your preference, something I feature in a previous article regarding purebreds and adoption.

As all our regular visitors will see I have not mentioned my two dogs Saffron and Narla as one of the most adorable breeds because to me they already know that I think they are both number one!

Is your breed among the fifteen I mentioned today?

If not please let us know what breed you own and even send in a photo to put up in our gallery.

  1. There are some beautiful dog breeds in the world, I’ve always loved Staffordshire Terriers myself, Now I know some people find them nasty but like any other animal if they are treat in the correct manner then they are wonderful creatures.

I find little dogs to be more nasty than they are lol ankle biters.

But all in all dogs are amazing creatures and more intelligent than we give them credit for.

Maybe a bit more of a description would be nice though, all in all nice article.

    well done

    • Hi Ben,

My parents own two Staffies and they are absolute sooks when it comes to cuddles however, would protect them both if the situation ever arose.

I have always said there are no nasty breeds just nasty owners.

Great point regarding a longer description on each of the breeds and is something I will add to overtime.

      I really appreciate your comments.

  2. Hi Mark. You have a very beautiful post. I really liked. But it is difficult to choose a race. All presented are super. I am a cat lover and my site is about cats. In second place are the dogs. I now have 3 dogs. I’m not a race. They are saved from different circumstances, but by breed or not, if they are loved, all dogs are adorable. As you say, the ones you have are the most special races. I can say the same about my dogs. Carmen

    • Hi Carmen,

Thanks for your comment and I would love to have a look at your site if you could let me know your website address?

It is so true, that if dogs are loved, no matter what the breed they will always be a special dog.

  3. Hey,

I really enjoyed going through your site. As a true animal lover in general and the dogs in particular, I used to own a Jack Russell named ‘Jenka’… Sadly she passed away on December 31st, 2016 from Addison’s disease.

Forty years ago I also had a Bichon Frisée and a Yorkshire Terrier. However, many people buy a puppy because it is so cute (their character is not even thought of). And certainly not that the puppy in question will not remain so beautiful.

I am angry at people with prejudices such as: beware because that breed is evil dogs… I always respond to that with my answer: a dog is raised to a large extent by man and if this person learns the good then he will dog stay like this… (I’m talking about a newborn puppy here and not a “second hand” dog, if I may say so).

These dogs were my pets and they were small because I didn’t have much room for them. If I had a lot of lands, my absolute wish is to spoil a stately, large, Doberman Pinscher. (And train well!)

It really gives me pleasure to go over your site!

    • RIP Jenka… The Jack Russel’s are a great breed of dog and I have a real soft spot for them!

My blood also boils when I hear people discuss what they call dangerous breeds. In my opinion, there is no such thing.

As you said a dog will resonate with its owner’s behaviors, so no matter what the breed if you treat them well they will be a well-behaved, socialized and loving dog.

I am so glad you liked our site.

  4. Hi Mark. Thank you for great post. I love dogs and all of them are adorable animals which makes great companions. For years now I have black Labrador and I wouldn’t change it for any other dog no matter how cute it would be. He is my friend and its much more than only look. And I do believe most of dog lowers would agree that most adorable dog in whole dog is one we have.

  5. Thank you for this article, with Christmas coming and my daughters number one hope this year is Dog, I of course have been looking into the cutest breeds out there. I benefitted from this article a lot as I was actually un aware of a few of the breeds on here. With having to stick with a smaller dog since my daughter is young a small dog is the best choice I now have a few more options to look at during my doggy search. Thank you !!

  6. I absolutely love dogs. My favourite breed is a cavapoo. I tried getting one recently but unfortunately, I was scammed. It’s sad to see how people get scammed in this day and age. Do you know any reliable place where I can get a dog, I would really appreciate that.

    • Hi Daniel,

      How were you scammed?

If you are looking for a purebred then I would suggest a reputable breeder in your country, and if you are not looking for a specific breed then I would be looking at animal rescue shelters.

  7. I have always liked Golden Retrievers. I used to visit a cousin when I was a boy that had one. And we had lot’s of fun with Guide. He was with my aunt, uncle and cousin for many years. I still remember how sad they were when he passed away. So, I have always wanted to have a Golden Retriever in our home.

  8. Hi, Mark,

A very informative article indeed. I’ve been thinking of getting a dog, but I have to be very careful. There are so many breeds that it becomes an overwhelming task.

For starters, I live in a small apartment. Since there is not too much space, it can’t be a large dog. The problem I often find with small dogs is that they bark too much. Think Chihuahuas, pugs, and Pomeranians. Also, I’d like a dog that doesn’t shed too much hair. I know all dogs shed hair to some degree, but the less they do, the better.

Finally, since I wouldn’t be home all day with the dog, I’d like one that doesn’t need to be around people and/or be active all the time.

Based on my profile, what breed would you recommend?

  9. Hi Mark, Most dogs can be adorable, if they are trained, and don’t jump up on people and being a nuisance. I have always had big dogs, and they have all been mixed breeds from rescue centers, but we have over the years also looked after several dogs. Beagles have been the most challenging to look after, combination of incessant barking and wanting to escape. Labradors and golden retrievers are my personal favorites, although a little Yorkie has so much character, I might adopt one.

  10. LOL, we dog owners are a curious bunch because I was going to call shenanigans on your list if I didn’t see my dog’s breed in the list! Fortunately, I see the heart-stealing Siberian Husky has made the list, although your description is not 100% correct.

We have a “red husky”, and she is very much a stunning, beautiful girl, but she has brown eyes. This is a common eye color for Siberians. There are also many Huskies who have heterochromia and have one blue eye and one brown eye.

Thanks for sharing this fun read and some cute dog photos. Our red husky is definitely the most adorable dog I know – and I’m probably not biased at all. 😉
