A Little Story About Me And My First Dog
Growing up in Australia, I was always fascinated by dogs. It all began with my first dog Baron, a
very loving, playful, energetic and stubborn Boxer cross.
Baron and l are great! We were pals from the first time I saw him.
I would spend hours with Baron every day after school, training and going through all types of
drills, most of which I got from books. I would spend literally hours in my backyard practising
everything I had learned from the books borrowed from our local library (No Internet and Google
back then!)
Dogs have been a passion of mine ever since I was a 6-year-old boy. Over the years, I have
purchased numerous products for dogs to improve my knowledge and training skills.
I hope that the love and passion I have for dogs comes through in Our Dogs World website content.
I was also fortunate enough to have an old fella who lived next door, a retired police dog
handler. With his help and guidance, I realized that anything is possible with patience and
consistent training. Some effort and hard work ethics can really lead to both a happy dog and a
happy owner.
My Training In The Dog World
From a 6-year-old in my back yard to an 18-year Military Dog Handler, and for the past 14 years
a volunteer at various dog shelters, I have seen that dogs truly are our faithful friends.
Over the past 50+ years, I have learned a lot about dog training and nutrition. I can guide you about training the most stubborn and untrainable dog. I want to offer you some insight into training tips and techniques that professional dog handlers are using today.
You can accomplish a lot within a few hours with the right training, correct techniques, and knowing which reward system works best for your fur buddy. These training strategies can lead to a well-rounded, well-socialized dog whom you can take anywhere!
